Some brides walk into a room. Liv swept through a city. With her skirts gathered in both hands and her girls in chocolate silk at her heels, she moved through Newcastle's streets like the opening frame of a film, all laughter, satin and late-winter light.
The Mood
Black satin. Burgundy lilies. Old brick and new love. Liv's sculptural satin gown by Olya Mak asked for a look that was clean, confident and quietly romantic, and every detail of the day followed that lead.
Her hair, by MBL artist Maddalena, was soft and polished, with a long veil that caught the breeze on every street corner and pooled like water at the altar. Beneath it, it read timeless. In motion, it read pure editorial.
Her makeup, by MBL artist Sarah, was skin first and lit from within: a fresh, luminous glow, softly defined eyes and a lip that felt like Liv, only more so. It held through happy tears, a long afternoon of portraits and a dance floor that never once stood still.

The Day
Ravella Newcastle set the scene with soft white drapery, chandeliers like little moons and Alex waiting at the end of the aisle. Peggy Mae Floral Design filled the room with dark burgundy calla lilies and white orchids, Liv's bouquet trailing ribbon as she walked, and CC Celebrancy brought the two of them to "I do".
Then the city took over. Sandstone steps, heavy timber doors and Newcastle's oldest streets became the backdrop for portraits as Liv's bridesmaids, in Forever New, swirled around her in a blur of chocolate silk.
And then, the party. Napkins in the air, candlelight down every table, a cake baked with love by Liv's maid of honour (Sir Sour, all the way from Melbourne) and Silent Shout keeping the dance floor full until the very last song.
Liv and Alex, thank you for letting us be a small part of something so beautiful. Here's to a lifetime of dancing.
